I had some VIP guests last week. My parents came to Beijing.
This was their first visit to China, so while they were here I felt the need to show them as much of the city and my life as I possibly could. I feel like we did a pretty good job of making the most of the time, although I did a pretty poor job of documenting it in photos. I did, however, take my camera around some of the time, especially when we went out and did touristy things.
Having Mom and Dad here was honestly a dream come true. It's been something I've wished to happen for such a long time. Over the last three years, I can recall so many moments where I would stop and think to myself "I wish my parents could experience this." "I wish they could taste this." "I wish they could see me do this."
My love for taking pictures has helped me to record and share my life in China a little bit, but there's nothing like experiencing things first-hand. Last week, all the tastes, sights, smells, and sounds of Beijing became reality to my mom and dad. They seemed to really enjoy taking it all in. And I really enjoyed watching them do so. We made some great memories.

It was a foggy morning.
They chose a good time of year to visit. The leaves were beautiful.

Dad and me at Tiananmen Square.
Me and Mom.
p.s. I promise I did not wear that vest every single day they were here. :)
Thanks for coming, Mom and Dad. :)
